The structure of the aeration tank was 125m x 60m consisting of an 800mm deep concrete base and 8m high walls. Because of the volume of concrete required we poured the base in eight sections of approx 750m³ of concrete per section. The concrete pours were carried out at night to minimise disruption of supply. The walls were shuttered in 8.5m long sections using super slim soldiers and twin web.150 aluminium beams. The Radii were constructed using Radform. Some of the walls were in excess of 3m thick. The Radii varied from 1.2m to 5.0m. The total quantities for the aeration tank were: concrete 15,900 m³, formwork (Vertical) 24,500 m², formwork (Radius) 2,300 m² Aeration Tank
